Boys Clothing Guide for a Jewish Chasuna

A Chasuna is one of the most happy days in a Jewish family's life. The creation of a new couple is an exciting moment that is aptly celebrated with the Chasuna, Sheva Brachos, and assorted Auf Rufs and Shabbos Kallahs.

However, there is always a certain amount of stress that surrounds a Jewish wedding, namely, the clothing. The families with young boys know well the stress of finding everything needed for the many days of celebration.

One thing to keep in mind is the time of the event. Daytime weddings lend themselves to lighter colored clothing while night time weddings are often darker themed.

Also keep in mind the expected Yarmulka color. Some weddings will have a suggested theme.

Let's run through a checklist of items you will need for your upcoming Simcha:

Suits

A dark colored suit is the first thing you will need. Black, Navy, and Charcoal are the most popular suit colors for a wedding. You may need a second suit to cover an Auf Ruf or Sheva Brachos.

Cuff & Co has multiple boys suit options including:

Shirts

The amount of shirts you will need depends on how many of the days of celebration your son will be attending.

A basic calculation is one shirt for every day plus one extra shirt for every 3 you need. This should cover any unexpected spills, tears, and stains.

Here are a few great boys shirt options:

Pants

Besides for suits, it also makes sense to have a few pairs of boys dress pants on hand for a more casual look at some of the Sheva Brachos. These can be paired well with one of our blazers (see below).

Here's a list of great options:

Blazers

One of the classiest looks for a young boy is a sharp boy's blazer paired with a pair of dress pants.

It can sometimes stand out even better than a suit.

Accesories

Don't forget the necessary accessories. You'll need dress shoes, socks, belts, ties, and yarmulkas.
