All The Clothing You'll Need for Your Bar Mitzvah Bochur

Bar Mitzvah Stages

There are multiple steps to a typical Bar Mitzvah and it is important to ensure the Bar Mitzvah Bochur is properly dressed for every part of the celebration. 

Hanochas Tefillin

Most Bar Mitzvah Bochurim start putting on Tefillin before the day of their Bar Mitzvah. Of course, Minhagim very greatly but the majority of families will need clothing prepared for this important milestone prior to the actual Bar Mitzvah.

You'll need weekday dress clothing such as a blazer, dress pants, a white shirt, and dress shoes. Of course, you'll definitely need a black hat, as well as other basics such as a belt and Tzitzis.

Bo Bayom

Most Bar Mitzvah celebrations include a weekday celebration on the night of the Bo Bayom. This gala dinner is a wonderful opportunity for thankfulness that you have reached this amazing milestone.

He will need a nice suit to sit up in front on the dais and to deliver his Pshetl in. 

Shabbos Bar Mitzvah

By the time the Shabbos rolls around you should have most of what you need already. 

It may be wise to have a second suit available, there is no way to guarantee that an unexpected stain won't turn up on his first suit.
